Little Do I Know

Such little did I know

gazing out at Lady Liberty,

holding my hopes in her torch

Unreachable, I thought

Untouchable

Such little did I know

a grieving heart would

scatter its weathered pieces

which fashioned a path

that led to a dream

I thought had been gone for good

Such little do I know each day

Such goodness waits in songs unplayed

May we wade into the dark sky of midnight

of dreams we thought were gone

Which reappear as stars only hiding

and were guiding as torches all along

There is such beauty to behold

so much still to be told

so much stars want to show

in what little I do know
